Most live music at events is an afterthought — chosen from a list, arranged at the last minute, and forgotten before the evening ends. Manuel Romero founded MUSICORDES to offer something different: a musical presence that is designed, not deployed.
At MUSICORDES, every repertoire choice, every ensemble formation, every musical transition is treated as a compositional decision — one that shapes the emotional arc of the event from the first note to the last.
This is not a philosophy of excess. It is a philosophy of precision. The right music, at the right moment, with the right presence.
La musique vivante dans les événements est souvent une réflexion après coup — choisie depuis une liste, organisée à la dernière minute, et oubliée avant la fin de la soirée. Manuel Romero a fondé MUSICORDES pour offrir quelque chose de différent : une présence musicale conçue, pas simplement déployée.
Chez MUSICORDES, chaque choix de répertoire, chaque formation, chaque transition musicale est traité comme une décision de composition — une décision qui façonne l'arc émotionnel de l'événement, de la première note à la dernière.

Directeur artistique & Fondateur
Manuel Romero is a classically trained violinist with a formation rooted in the conservatory tradition. His academic studies in violin — spanning technique, interpretation, and chamber repertoire — gave him not only the technical foundation of a professional musician, but the listening intelligence of an interpreter: the ability to hear a piece not as a sequence of notes, but as an arc of meaning.
Over years of performing at weddings, private receptions, and corporate events across multiple cities and countries, Manuel observed the same gap, repeatedly: the musical experience of an event was rarely conceived with the same care as its venue, its catering, or its décor. Music was the last thing planned and the first thing forgotten.
MUSICORDES was his answer to that gap.
As Artistic Director, Manuel brings a range of repertoire that spans baroque and classical, romantic and contemporary, film scores, jazz standards, and French chanson. This range is not a catalogue — it is the material from which each event's bespoke soundscape is built.
Manuel Romero est un violoniste de formation classique, enraciné dans la tradition du conservatoire. Ses études académiques en violon — couvrant la technique, l'interprétation et le répertoire de chambre — lui ont donné non seulement le fondement technique d'un musicien professionnel, mais l'intelligence d'écoute d'un interprète : la capacité d'entendre une pièce non comme une séquence de notes, mais comme un arc de sens.
Au fil des années à se produire lors de mariages, réceptions privées et événements corporatifs dans plusieurs villes et pays, Manuel a observé le même écart, à répétition : l'expérience musicale d'un événement était rarement conçue avec le même soin que le lieu, la restauration ou le décor. La musique était la dernière chose planifiée et la première oubliée.
MUSICORDES fut sa réponse à cet écart.
En tant que Directeur artistique, Manuel maîtrise un répertoire qui s'étend du baroque au classique, du romantique au contemporain, des bandes originales aux standards jazz et à la chanson française. Cet éventail n'est pas un catalogue — c'est la matière première depuis laquelle le paysage sonore sur mesure de chaque événement est construit.
L'origine
MUSICORDES did not begin as a company. It began as a question Manuel kept returning to after every event: what would this evening have felt like if the music had been designed for it — not just played at it?
The answer became a practice. A way of approaching each event not as a performance opportunity, but as a musical direction challenge. What formation fits this venue? What repertoire serves this couple's aesthetic? Where does the music need to breathe, and where does it need to lead?
The name MUSICORDES carries that origin within it — music and chords, yes, but also cordes in French: strings. The instrument that started it all, and the material from which every MUSICORDES ensemble is built.
MUSICORDES n'a pas commencé comme une entreprise. Il a commencé comme une question à laquelle Manuel revenait après chaque événement : à quoi aurait ressemblé cette soirée si la musique avait été conçue pour elle — et non simplement jouée en arrière-fond ?
La réponse est devenue une pratique. Une façon d'aborder chaque événement non pas comme une opportunité de performance, mais comme un défi de direction musicale. Quelle formation convient à ce lieu ? Quel répertoire sert la vision esthétique de ce couple ? Où la musique doit-elle respirer, et où doit-elle guider ?
Le nom MUSICORDES porte cette origine en lui — musique et accords, oui, mais aussi cordes : l'instrument qui a tout commencé, et la matière depuis laquelle chaque formation MUSICORDES est construite.
